Do I need a ticket?
This is a free event and open to all. We encourage you to sign up for a ticket on our Eventbrite page as this helps us to get an idea of how many people to expect, and also so that we can easily communicate any last minute info to you.
Are children welcome?
The festival is open to everyone and children are very much welcome. Alameda's much loved design lab and play gallery, TWIRL will be hosting the Kids' Zone, with a wealth of Arts and Crafts, and activities
Do I need to reserve to see specific performances or attend classes?
All classes and performances will be run on a first come first serve basis. Most of the companies will perform 2-3 times during the day so if you feel like you can't find a space for one performance, you can come back for a later show. There will be no seating for the performances, we will provide some folding stools for those who need, but be prepared to stand or find yourself a spot on the ground. We encourage you to bring a folding stool or a cushion if you want to make yourself a little more comfortable.
What should I wear?
The Festival is entirely outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather. We would suggest bringing layers as the wind can pick up in the afternoon. If you want to attend a dance class, wear comfortable clothing which allows you to move freely. Much of the festival is located in a park where the ground is uneven, we HIGHLY recommend wearing flat-heeled, closed toed shoes.
